“We have stayed in the best luxury resorts and hotels all over the world, as have many of the guests who attended our two day celebration at Gleneagles. Guests came in from Mauritius, Dubai, India, Africa, the UK, the USA, and more.

“The service, level of efficiency, hospitality, co-operation, understanding and warmth we received from Gleneagles has been absolutely outstanding. Each guest left saying this was world class in every way.

“I have been dealing with Fiona Pugh for about five months almost daily. It has been an absolute pleasure working with a team that has such professionalism and is so thorough, and at the same time has such heart. The speed with which everything was dealt with was so appreciated, as I would hear from Fiona even when she was away on holiday. Planning a wedding can be stressful and demanding, but this was an absolute delight - all credit to Gleneagles and its team.

“Alan Hill put together a fantastic menu over the three days, which was able to keep everyone happy given the many different dietary requirements, different timings etc. It could not have been more perfect. My guests are still talking about the food. Every dish was fresh, authentic and delicious. 

“ I cannot possibly list all the little incidents that made such a difference and that sets you apart from other luxury resorts, but all I can say is that there was a level of involvement from your team that not only made 'getting the job done' a priority, but was also caring and respectful to the guests. Many of our guests asked “is it Gleneagles, or is it Scottish hospitality?”, and are now in love with both. Some of our guests are planning a visit back to Gleneagles, and I know my family will too.

My wife and I held an amazing wedding reception here in 2006 and have been back every year since. The team were world-class; they took a bizarre and amusing idea and turned it into a very fun reality. Fiona was as excited as I was about the project from day one, and really getting into what I was trying to achieve.

"An amazing AV team, design team, band, DJ and models were all under her close eye. Nothing was too much trouble – not even adding lights to a 20-foot sign at the last minute. I’ll never forget the smiles on my guests’ faces as they walked into the venue and the black curtain behind me dropped to reveal the big band.”

"The service has been first class, the warm welcome from John at the front door and Laura on reception set the tone for the entire weekend.

"Planning our wedding from Dubai was never going to be easy so once the date was set, our next big decision was the venue. After considering a number of different venues, we decided on a special place that we had  always held close to our hearts when we lived in Edinburgh.  It had to be Gleneagles!

"The events team, led by Jennifer Randall, were very helpful from the start. We can't even begin to think of the number of e-mails that passed between us in order to make sure that everything was perfect for our special day!
 
"The Glendevon provided a spectacular venue for our cocktail reception and our overseas guests loved seeing the Gleneagles piper in action!
 
"We then moved into the majestic art deco ballroom where the Wedding Breakfast  was held and it really took our breath away. As the doors of the ballroom were opened,  we saw that it had been filled with flowers and fairy lights; we couldn't believe that the Gleneagles florist had brought to life everything that we had described to him.
 
"The grand finale to a perfect day was standing on the lawn watching fireworks shoot up into the sky surrounded by our family and closest friends.
 
"It was such a memorable day that we have already had guests asking us about an 'anniversary Gleneagles reunion'!!"

"The party itself was brilliant and we all had a great time. His address to the haggis was a show stopper. Together, they really made the night rock!

“A huge thank you to all the staff at Gleneagles for the most wonderful weekend. My husband’s 50th birthday will be remembered by ourselves and our friends as an incredible celebration. I have been inundated with phone calls from our friends raving about our evening, mentioning everything about the delicious meal, the beautiful rooms and the friendliness of the staff. A few of our guest had never been before and cannot wait to go back.

“Please pass a personal thanks to Suzanne who pre-arranged everything before the event - goodness knows she was plagued by me continually making changes and nothing was too much bother.

“And, of course, to Fiona Pugh who took over at the weekend and made me feel as if nothing was too much to ask. The personalised birthday card from her was lovely.

“Thanks also goes to Paul, Lisa and Iris who ran our evening meal with such efficiency and professionalism – I particularly liked Lisa's  little touch of adding the tea-lights along the breakfast bar, completely transforming the room. Please thank the chefs for a truly scrumptious meal.

“Jill and the reception staff's welcome was so personal - it made us relax before we even had our coats off. I have unfortunately forgotten the name of the young lady who showed us round the suite but her enthusiasm was infectious.

“As for the upgrade to the Blue Tower Suite, this was incredible and we felt truly indulged in luxury. The arrival of birthday gifts for both Mark and Stephen was such a nice touch, we all felt truly spoiled.
 
“Our Friday evening in Andrew Fairlie’s to celebrate Mark's birthday was a true delight.

“We have being coming up to the Glenmor Village at Gleneagles for the last 8 years, so the hotel and the surrounding area are very special to us.  Gleneagles is a beautiful hotel; the standards of service are so high and the staff so welcoming, it made the perfect choice for our wedding.

"There are too many highlights to name one - key moments that stand out are: the wedding ceremony, the reception drinks in the spectacular hotel grounds, being piped into the ballroom with all of our guests, the fantastic food, the ceilidh dancing and of course the glitter drop at the end of the night!!

"As we were having a Civil Ceremony, it was important to us that the venue and the ceremony room had the "wow" factor and was extra special.  The Glendevon room, in our eyes was the perfect room with the amazing views it offers.  As we are real "Foodies" the catering aspect was also of high importance as we really wanted to spoil our guests and give them a gastronomic experience!  Other than the outstanding beauty of the resort, the one thing that confirmed to us that this had to be our wedding venue, was the staff and service they provide.  Having visited the hotel on special occasions, we have always been blown away with the exceptional standard but also the warmth and "nothing is too much trouble" attitude.
 
"Our best parts of the wedding day was the ceremony in the beautiful Glendevon room, and seeing the stunning ballroom lit up for the very first time as we were piped into the wedding breakfast - this was a truly amazing experience!  Also the wedding breakfast itself and our intricate six course menu had to be the highlight of the day in everyone's eyes.
 
"Normally it is custom after a wedding, for the Bride and Groom to send "thank you" cards to the guests.  Since the wedding, we have been overwhelmed by the number of cards we have received from guests thanking us for giving them the opportunity to experience such a wonderful hotel and resort.
