Wholly off-grid, this hideaway features a wood-fired outdoor sauna for up to six guests, along with fishing, Canadian canoeing, kayaking, and a cold dip for the brave.

Our shingle-covered wood-fired, outdoor sauna takes its cues from the ancient Scottish tradition of peat-fuelled hot houses. Its natural form blends into the surrounding landscape, with space enough for six guests to indulge in the transformative power of contrast therapy.
With a spacious changing area, an expansive viewing deck and a jetty for cold plunge dooks, this indulgent destination is as much a place for camaraderie and communion as it is reflection and restoration.
Paddle Power
Over the centuries, canoe-like boats in Scotland have been a part of our heritage. Once made from wicker frames and animal skins or hewn from great tree trunks, and now crafted from the very best modern materials, these boats have held a special allure since their inception.
Our state-of-the-art versions at Frandy Water give our guests a way to embrace the ancient art of peaceful paddling while exploring the undulating shoreline and expansive scenery. Whether you’re joining us with the gang in tow for a family canoe or kayak session or fancy a meditative morning pulling your oars through the water solo, we’re on hand to show you the ropes.
At Frandy Water, we can’t guarantee the size of fish you’ll snag, if any, but we do know that whatever the weather it’s where we’d nearly always rather be. All around it, heather-clad hills slope down to its shores, with the scenery in a constant state of metamorphosis as the days shift from milky spring sunrises to the glow of autumn.
Here our world-class instructors can kit you out to fish from the bank or a boat, depending on your preference.
