High Moor Lodge
A Gleneagles first, High Moor Lodge offers guests and members access to their own private shooting lodge, neatly tucked away in our heathland on the fringes of the Shooting & Fishing School. Here the sky is wide and the air is crisp, making it an ideal place to pause and revel in the exclusivity of this special space on the edge of the Highlands.
A Home from Home
Bright and airy in summer, warm and inviting in winter, High Moor Lodge takes its cues from classic Highland design, with rich timbers, supple leather and heritage textiles used throughout the space for an elevated yet relaxed, homely feel.
Take time to explore the carefully curated collection of curiosities, original artworks, and The Macallan fine and rare whisky collection, or simply unwind beside the comforting crackle of the fire.
When it’s time to begin, step out onto your private veranda overlooking the five-stand shooting layout, where full weather protection ensures the experience can be enjoyed in comfort throughout the seasons.
All High Moor Lodge guests will be collected in a Defender from the front of the hotel, to be chauffeured to the Shooting & Fishing School. From here, you’ll have access to your own private Polaris Ranger shuttle for the short trip to the lodge’s front door.

A jumping off point for those who enjoy a couple of hours of shooting in the morning or afternoon. Join our instructors as they carefully coach you through the building blocks of a successful shoot.
You’ll join them on the multi-stand to practice hitting a variety of targets before you take part in a multi-bird flush for parties of two or more. The session finishes back in the lodge with a relaxed debrief, complemented by light refreshments.
For those who want a little longer out at the butts, High Moor Heritage blends our iconic hospitality with our expert coaching. Join your instructor to master the multi-stand before you try your hand at a simulated grouse drive. Having worked up an appetite, it’s time to head back to the lodge for a luxurious gamekeeper’s lunch. After lunch, there’s still time to try the thrilling heights of the King’s Tower before you reconvene over refreshments at High Moor Lodge to debrief your day.
