A Year-Long Celebration
IN OUR LANDMARK 100th year, we celebrate a century of the Glorious Playground! Going into 2024 as a multi-award-winning estate, we reflect on our history, spanning high times and wartimes, and look toward the next 100 years alongside our inaugural Edinburgh home, Gleneagles Townhouse.
Join our jubilant celebrations this year, including a bespoke Centenary Afternoon Tea, a wonderful Summer Ballet Performance, the addition of a grueling 100km Centenary Challenge Race, and our glamorous Centenary Ball.
Exciting commemorations include a beautiful coffee table book ‘Stories from the Glorious Playground’ and an exclusive collaboration with Barbour. As we anticipate a remarkable year, we kick off in style with the Great Scots Burns Night Supper and auction in the Ballroom, fundraising for our friends at Social Bite who are building villages to combat homelessness in Scotland. Here’s to the next century!

In celebration of our 100th year, our Centenary Afternoon Tea menu takes guests on a delightful journey through a century of culinary history and tales from The Glorious Playground. Hosted in the Glendevon lounge, savour sweet and savoury treats inspired by the Roaring Twenties, indulge in recipes featured in our renowned 1989 ‘Taste of Gleneagles’ cookbook and relish in the Scottish dishes enjoyed by the late Queen during her visits to the Glen.

Launching on 8 May 2024 to mark our Centenary month, ‘Gleneagles: Stories from the Glorious Playground’ by James Collard is our limited-edition coffee table book. With a foreword by HRH The Princess Royal and contributions from Justine Picardie and Tom English, this exquisite volume features archival photographs, bespoke illustrations and brand new photography, capturing Gleneagles’ 100-year celebration.

Where sporting grit meets stunning scenery and luxury hospitality, The Great Adventure Race is a thrilling celebration of spring and the great outdoors. To celebrate our centenary, we will have a choice of two races on the weekend of 3-5 May 2024; the Classic 55km route or our Centenary Challenge tackling 100km in celebration of our 100 years.
The Centenary Challenge is an individual race with an 8km canoe across a loch; 22km trail run over two of the most stunning summits in Perthshire; and a 70km cycle through the local country roads, before celebrating back at the hotel with a glamorous dinner and prize giving.
