Our Centenary Afternoon Tea takes you on an indulgent and nostalgic journey. Drawing inspiration from the menus of our opening in the 1920s, recipes from the 1980s “Taste of Gleneagles” cookbook and the late Queen’s Scottish favourites, it celebrates a century of flavours in every bite.

In 2005, Gleneagles hosted a gathering of world leaders for the G8 Summit. An events manager recalls having to stop an eager waiter from rushing to serve coffee after President Bush called out ‘Kofi! Kofi!’, trying to attract the attention of Kofi Annan, the UN’s Secretary-General.
