What is the dress code for each Restaurant?
The Dormy Restaurant, Birnam Brasserie, Auchterarder 70 and Restaurant Andrew Fairlie do not have a strict dress code and casual dress is permitted.
In The Strathearn Restaurant the refined setting encourages you to dress for dinner although jackets and ties are not essential.
In The American Bar, informal clothing of any kind – including ripped denim, trainers, baseball caps, non-collared t-shirts and shorts – would be inappropriate for the elegant setting. While jackets and ties are not essential, smart attire would be expected and formal dress would be welcomed.
What time is check in / out?
Check in is available from 1500hrs on the day you arrive, you may request an early check in at the time of booking. We will then make a note of this on your booking and do our utmost to accommodate your request, however we cannot guarantee it will be available.
Please be ready to leave the room by 1200hrs, late check outs can be requested with Guest Services on check in.
What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is currently served from 0700hrs – 1030hrs Monday to Sunday and booking is essential.
What leisure facilities are on offer?
We have a host of leisure facilities and pursuits on offer – explore our site for all our current activity information.
Do you recommend pre booking all dining and leisure prior to arrival?
Yes, we always recommend pre-booking dining and leisure to avoid disappointment.
Can I use the Spa facilities?
You are welcome to use the wonderful spa facilities if you are a resident and have a spa treatment booked. If you are visiting for the day please contact us on 01764662231 for more information on Day Spa packages.
Can I use the Swim and Gym space?
Yes, access to the Swim and Gym spaces is for residents and members.
Can you arrange tee times at Carnoustie / The Old Course etc?
No, as these clubs may require prepayment at the time of booking and have their own terms & conditions and cancellation policies it is advised to make these bookings directly.
What is the dress code for the golf courses?
Comfort and informality is the theme, although we would prefer you not to wear jeans or jogging trousers.
Do you have car parking facilities?
Yes we provide free parking for residents and visitors, please following signs for parking when you enter the main gate.
Which Airport is closest to Gleneagles?
Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports are both less than 50 miles, or an hour’s drive away.
Do you arrange airport / train transfers? And is this service complimentary?
We offer a private chauffeur transfer service, this must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. For pricing please speak with Resort Sales. You can travel by train into Gleneagles Station, a complimentary transfer service to the hotel is available from here. Please arrange in advance by calling 01764662231.
How can you travel from Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport?
We offer a private chauffeur transfer service from both airports, to book you must provide us with your flight number and arrival time at least 24 hours in advance. For pricing please speak with Resort Sales on 01764662231

Do you arrange babysitters?
We use an external babysitting company called Little Royals, please let us know if you would like to use this service at the time of booking and we will have them contact you to make arrangements directly. We do not have baby monitors in the rooms or provide a baby listening service.
Do you have wifi?
The whole hotel has complimentary wi-fi for your convenience.
Do you have Sky TV?
Yes, we have various channels including Sky News, Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 & 4.
What facilities are provided in the room?
All rooms have air-con, wifi, free movies, fridges, hairdryers, irons and tea making facilities.
What payment methods do you accept?
At the time of booking we can accept debit or credit cards over the phone (with the exception of Diners Club) or you can post us a cheque. Once you are at the hotel you can pay by cash, cheque, credit or debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, and Diners Club.
Can I arrange a gift voucher?
Yes. We have lots of wonderful gift vouchers available offering dining, shopping, leisure and outdoors experiences suitable for all ages and tastes. These are available to purchase online here.
Can I bring my dog with me?
Yes. In the hotel we are happy to accommodate dogs up to the size of a Labrador. There will be an additional room charge of £100 per dog per night, with additional dogs charged at £100 per dog per night. Your dog will be provided with a dog bed, foam duvet, plastic floor mats with two bowls and a poop scoop set. We also have kennels available on the hotel grounds which are £52 per dog per night, and each additional dog sharing a kennel is £26.
Please note: All dogs should have vaccination certificates with them and are expected to have been treated in advance for worms, fleas and kennel cough, and must have a dog registration form filled out and returned prior to arrival. Please ask resort sales to send you this form at the time of booking. Dogs are also not allowed in restaurant and bar areas.
Dog food is not provided.
Can I smoke on the hotel balconies?
Bedrooms and all public areas including bars and restaurants are smoke free zones. Please be aware that a breach of the non-smoking policy in your bedroom or balcony will incur an additional charge up to the full room rate. There are dedicated external locations throughout the resort for smoking which you are most welcome to use.
