The American Bar at Gleneagles is our decadent tribute to the 1920s, a gloriously glamorous decade in which the hotel was first built. Here we take the art of mixology seriously without sacrificing the fun that every fine bar has at its heart. This is a convivial spot for grown-ups to toast good spirits and good company.
Dress code
We think this glamorous venue is the perfect excuse to step out in your finest glad rags. If you've been playing your way out of the rough, trekking through the mud or throwing a ball for your dog, chances are you'll feel a wee bit out of place.

Meet the expert
The hotel’s first restaurant, The Streathearn has retained the atmosphere of the Art Deco era’s decadent days. There’s more than a touch of magic at play here, with a candlelit room, live grand piano and a fine-dining modern Scottish menu that centres around its famous tableside trolley service.
