A Trilogy of Limited-Edition Whiskies
We’re delighted to introduce a captivating new series of three limited-edition whiskies in collaboration with The Glendronach. As one of Scotland’s oldest licensed distilleries, it’s renowned for its craftsmanship, specialising in rich single malts which are matured in oak sherry casks from Andalucía.
The Glendronach was founded nearly a century before Gleneagles, giving it time to be established by the time Donald Matheson, our founder, was stocking the shelves of The American Bar with the very best whiskies in the world for the great and the good of the day. We’ve picked up where he left off, ensuring our guests have access to the very finest libations through our new, exclusive trilogy. This celebrates a day spent at The Glorious Playground as an evening unfolds from The Shooting & Fishing Lodge through to The American Bar, ending in The Ballroom. Each edition has been blended by Rachel Barrie, The Glendronach’s Master Blender, who has used her decades of experience to craft the three inimitable bottles.
The Story

The series develops as late afternoon moves into the night, revealing the emotive experiences of those who dare to dream their days away on the fringes of the Highlands.

Edition One: A Moment of Reflection
The first expression in the series has been inspired by the Gleneagles Shooting & Fishing School, a cosy log cabin surrounded by heather moorlands. Here, friendships are forged through friendly competition and time spent roaming the hillsides and river shores. It’s the place where guests gather in the gloaming, toasting the day’s escapades and swapping stories and songs by the fireside.
To honour these moments, this inaugural release has matured for over fourteen years in fine Oloroso sherry casks.
A Moment of Reflection will be exclusively available to resident guests and members of Gleneagles to buy from The Still Room, open daily from 10am-6pm, from 1st September 2026. The releases will launch annually, with the first bottle priced at £160.
While a limited number of bottles will be available to purchase in total, only a handful of these will be sold to non-resident guests via an online ballot.
