Accessible by four-wheel drive only, you will be driven up into the heart of one of Perthshire’s most picture-perfect glens where you can take in the magnificent vistas overlooking heather moorland crags, teaming with local wildlife, showcasing the natural beauty of the Scottish Highlands.

Throughout, your Gleneagles host will pick out points-of-interest including, Munros, lochans and historic landmarks, together with local fauna and flora. Up in this remote landscape there’s every chance you’ll spot hardy native, black-faced sheep, buzzards, red kites, rabbits, and an array of bird species that call the moors home. If you are really lucky, you might see red grouse, black game, peregrine falcons, merlin, blue hare, and the majestic red deer.

Surrounded by Perthshire’s wild and rugged natural landscape, the Glen Artney experience is a unique opportunity to spend time with one of Scotland’s legendary hill stalking guides, Alistair Chalmers, who has devoted a lifetime to managing red deer herds throughout the Scottish Highlands.

After a short tour around the steadings, stalking facilities, and stables, you will head into the hills, enjoying a scenic drive, learn about the local flora and fauna that has inspired poets and princes for generations. Steeped in history dating back to 1492, Glen Artney has been a favourite haunt of several Royal Houses.

Your host will point out various points-of-interest including, Munros and historic landmarks, together with local nature and wildlife.
