DESCRIPTION

Explore the Gleneagles estate on one of our fleet of bicycles. Road bikes are available to hire for over-18s to navigate the roads and lanes around the hotel for a half or whole day.

The fleet covers a wide selection of frame sizes allowing riders of any size to find a bike that fits. The bikes are custom built with components and accessories from the leading names in road cycling.

 

Hybrid Bikes – A full bike fitting service is available at the Gleneagles Trail Yard. These bikes are suitable for riding around the grounds of the Hotel and the local area. They carry a supplement charge as per below.

Price: up to 3 hrs £35.00 | full day £45.00 

 

Frog Bikes- A full bike fitting service is available at the Gleneagles Trail Yard. These bikes are tailored for our younger guests with smaller sizes and lighter frames. These bikes are suitable for riding around the grounds of the Hotel and the local area.  

Price: up to 3 hrs £35.00 | full day £45.00 

 

Fat Bikes – a full bike fitting service is available at the Gleneagles Trail Yard. These bikes have oversized low pressure tyres which are ideal for mud, sand, and snow. These bikes are perfect for the equestrian cross-country area of the grounds (when not in use) and for our 2 onsite walking routes the Strathallan stroll and the Westerly Wander. Charged by the hour.

Price: 1 hr £40.00 | 2 hrs £55.00

 

Shand bikes (Road/Gravel) – full bike fitting service is available at the Gleneagles Trail Yard. Our bespoke to Gleneagles Shand bikes are Scottish built multi terrain bikes which are belt driven and are just as at home on towpaths and singletrack as they are on the Roads. Please ask about specific routes and guiding options.

Price: 3hrs £65.00 | full day £99.00 

E-Bikes – E-bikes can be sourced but must be booked in advance, availability will need to be confirmed. Minimum full day hire.

Price: £100.00

Pashley Bikes – Our beautiful Pashley cycles are the perfect way to explore the estate and take in the stunning views. Hop on, ring the bell, and we will race you back to the Century Bar for a glass of champagne. Available from The Games House by the hotel lawn.

Cairn Walk – A moderately challenging upland hill walk through the beautiful landscapes of a traditionally managed Scottish estate. With the knowledge and experience of an expert guide, learn about the history and legends of the glen, as well as the flora and fauna along this beautifully picturesque part of the Glendevon. Time 3 hrs. Price: £385.00 per vehicle + 1 person. £55.00 per person. Up to 4 people max.

Drovers Road Walk – An easy-going walk along the old Glendevon Drovers route. A beautifully scenic walk, affording you picturesque views over the Gleneagles estate. Learn about the history of Scotland’s ancient drovers’ roads dating back to 1359. A look back in time where your guide will talk you through the day and life of a Scottish Highland Drover. Time 2 hrs. Price: £385.00 per vehicle + 1 person. £55.00 per person. Up to 4 people max.
