Exploring the estate with their very own Adventure Guide
Unleash the spirit of adventure with our Den Adventurer Guide designed for intrepid young explorers. At check-in, each child receives their own Guide, along with a special gift waiting for them in their rooms… Use these to embark on an orienteering quest, unlocking clues that lead to secret locations around our estate.
Discover animals, tackle challenges and collect stamps in your Adventure Guide along the way. Once all nine clues are completed show your Guide at check-out to receive a special pin badge. Parents join in the fun, ensuring fun & safe adventures as you explore The Glen together.

Pin Badges for explorers
After gathering all nine stamps in their Adventure Guide, Den Adventurers earn an completion pin badge at the end of their holiday.
But the collection doesn’t stop there! Kids enrolled in our school holidays programme receive a special badge, along with pin badges for other Glen activities kids take part in — from fishing to archery & clays, or horse riding.
In-room gifts and amenities
Den Adventurers receive an orienteering-themed in-room gift, fostering their connection with the outdoors. Alongside their Adventure Guide, our young explorers are gifted a compass sun dial to help them crack their clues around the estate.
After all the exploring it’s time to retreat back to their room with fluffy dressing gowns and slippers just for them.
Fantastic Dining Experiences for Wee Ones
The Den is a vibrant hangout for kids and teens, featuring gaming, air hockey, and a pool table. Specially designed for ages 8-15 and complimentary for hotel guests, it offers stimulating and interactive play with arts and crafts, a cinema space, a giant Connect Four and Jenga, and a huge wall-mounted Scrabble Board!
Water truly is the stuff of life here at Gleneagles, and our swimming pools are an abundance of joy. Our beautiful lagoon-shaped pool is perfect for family fun. Splash around, then wrap up in fluffy towels in our roomy child-friendly changing rooms.
Glen Adventurers Programme
Immerse your young ones in a world of exploration with our Glen Adventurers Programme, specially crafted for curious minds of various ages during school half terms and summer holidays.
Enrolled children aged 8-12 years are in for a day filled with thrilling experiences, from Archery to Air Rifle, and Woodland Skills to Tree Climbing.
Adventure Kit
On their first day each Adventurer is equipped with a complimentary Adventure Kit with essentials including a backpack, flask and snack box to take with them on their escapades.
Building confidence amongst a range of outdoor and trail-based adventures, our Den Adventurers are rewarded with a special badge and can go on to collect more as they take part in other pursuits and activities around the estate.
How does it work?
Drop your young ones off with our team at 9.30am (dressed for the Scottish weather!) and get ready to hear all about the days adventures when you collect them again at 3:15pm.
It really is the best of both worlds, a chance for you to fit in a spa treatment, a peaceful stroll around the estate or a leisurely lunch safe in the knowledge that your child is off exploring, meeting new friends and learning new skills. With lunch, snacks, and refreshments provided, and an Adventure Kit waiting upon arrival.
- 8-11 yrs: A chance for adverturous explorers to perfect existing skills or learning new ones, putting into practice hand eye co-ordination with activities like archery, knocking down targets in our air rifle range or trying their hand at golf.
- 11-12 yrs: An exciting offering of activities that will keep them endlessly entertained. Including swinging through the trees on our zip wires, perfecting their outdoor skills with den building and getting behind the wheel on our off-roading argocats.
