Reset and get return-to-work ready at the Glorious Playground

22 October 2021

With over 850-acres of surrounding estate and 50+ pursuits available to our guests, here at the Glorious Playground, we’re big believers in the benefits of reconnecting with colleagues in the great outdoors.

As companies around the world gradually return to the workplace, our events team is on hand to help get your team ready to re-engage and plan for the year ahead.

Make this great escape your own and work with us to curate a return-to-work style retreat with your team. Swap zooms and screen time for guided hikes or mountain-top yoga on our partner estates. Test your team building skills with our tri-target shooting challenge – combining archery, air rifle shooting and clay target shooting – perfect for exploring your groups’ competitive side.

Tackle splashes, ditches, ridges and gradients in a Landrover Defender during our off-roading experience or run around our assault course at The Trail Yard, home to over 100 thrilling meters of zip wire. We can even create your very own Highland Games experience featuring a roster of traditional Scottish sports you’ll see at Highland Games today, including tossing the caber and tug o’war.

Harness the healing power of nature with our wild wellness experiences, which include fishing, foraging and forest bathing, and, for those meetings that do require a more traditional meeting room set-up; our 15 beautiful, versatile meeting spaces provide the perfect ‘back-to-work’ backdrop for brainstorms and kick-off sessions.

We’ve also got an expansive choice of world-class dining – including 10 restaurants and bars – made-to-measure menus and immersive eating and drinking experiences both at the hotel and in our surrounding grounds. From whisky tastings down at Laich Loch to immersive picnics in the wilds of our partner estates – or chocolate cake baking with our resident Pastry Chef in The Pantry – we can tailor everything to suit your team’s needs. We can also organize epicurean dinners in our cellars, gala balls in our ballroom, BBQs at our Shooting Lodge or pub favourites in Auchterader 70, our atmospheric bar featuring craft beers and local gins down at the Dormy Clubhouse.

Our location in the heart of Scotland means we’re easily accessible from both Edinburgh and Glasgow (we’re only an hour away from both airports). We also have our very own train station – with a direct route to London – and valet and electric car charging points, too.
