The Glorious Garden Party

Gleneagles has a long illustrious history when it comes to parties. Because frankly, there’s not much we take seriously except having fun. We kicked off our signature style back in the 1920s with balls that were so enthusiastically received that they shattered mirrored walls and were broadcast on radios up and down the country.

For 2025, we’re bringing back this golden age of travel and an effusive embrace of socialising in style with our Glorious Garden Party. This annual celebration is the perfect excuse to gather with the good and great of your world, to toast the start of the Scottish summer season.

This year we’re welcoming legendary returning umpire Judy Murray, as well as two mixed-doubles teams made up of players Greg Rusedski, Daniela Hantuchova, Naomi Broady and Xavier Malisse. This formidable group will take to our outdoor courts in a show of sporting prowess as they battle it out for the hotly-contested Gleneagles Cup.

To keep you, our special guests, fed and watered, there’ll be piles of fragrant Perthshire strawberries with softly whipped cream as well free-flowing Champagne and cocktails as you’re welcomed to the lawn. Here you’ll find games and swinging live music before you pull up a courtside seat as the game’s audience. Later, enjoy a decadent afternoon tea in the Art Deco surroundings of The Strathearn, Gleneagles’ original restaurant which opened in 1924 and has played host to some serious soirees in its time.
