winter wellness at the spa

At the spa, we’ve created a space where guests can get back to themselves and a voyage through our multisensory spa journey is the ultimate way to achieve this. Welcoming you in from the cold to thaw out in our inviting sauna cabin, immersive steam-room or through a languorous soak in the outdoor onsen - all guaranteed to cleanse the body and mind in equal measure. Once you’ve started to unwind choose from a variety of bespoke treatments designed by our experts to make you feel as enriched as possible.

Jo Young, our Spa Manager says, “One that’s particularly suited for revitalisation during the winter season is ‘The Long Exhale’, a unique signature treatment designed to restore balance to
the body and create serenity in the mind”. Using warm jade wavestones to glide along the body, this treatment includes full body stretches delivered with flax seed, borage and sea buckthorn oils infused with neroli, rose otto and sandalwood. It completes with a jade stone facial and scalp massage leaving you feeling radiant and tranquil. Post treatment, extend this spell of relaxation with a languid lounge by the fire, reading magazines or snoozing in the warmth.

A new season calls for adaptions to beauty routines, and in our recently refurbished spa we’ve assembled a seasonally beneficial selection of products to help guests keep their glow throughout the colder months. We’re delighted to share that we’re now retailing our very own range of Gleneagles bath and body oils in the spa.

Jo helped develop this potent sequence of products and explains that “The selection of oils are created using botanicals from our own Flower Garden and their use in conjunction echoes a sensory journey through our aromatic Perthshire surroundings, we have a map outlining each botanical and their benefits for our guests.”

Jo also shared her top tips for maintaining wellness this winter: “I think it’s important to get outside and enjoy the crisp winter days while ensuring you’re wearing a good SPF. Then coming inside and warming back up with an immune boosting forager tea.”
