After 98 years in the Perthshire countryside, we’re venturing beyond the serene Ochil Hills to dip our collective toe into city living by opening the doors at our much-anticipated home in the capital of Scotland: Gleneagles Townhouse. This is a historic milestone for us, opening up a whole new realm of possibilities for our guests beyond the Glorious Playground of the Perthshire countryside.

The hotel has 33 guest rooms and suites, each totally unique in its own way; individual in size, orientation and ceiling height, with star suites overlooking St Andrew Square. The grandeur of the building’s beginnings has been reflected in decorative mouldings and sweeping features such as canopy crown headboards.

At The Spence, an impressive but laidback all-day restaurant and gathering space in the heart of the old banking hall, Jonny Wright, one of Scotland’s most exciting up-and-coming chefs, heads up the kitchen. The produce-driven menu is rooted in classics with a modern twist, with three signature dishes already giving the restaurant a name for itself. These The are West Coast langoustines in their shell, crispy seaweed and roasted garlic Dijonnaise.

Head upstairs and you’ll discover the Townhouse’s roof terrace bar Lamplighters, with impressive views over Edinburgh’s medieval Old Town to your left and the dazzling New Town to your right. Open exclusive to members and hotel guests, it’s one of Edinburgh’s most eclectic and vibrant after-dark destinations, serving a seasonally-rotating, locally-inspired list of cocktails, whiskies, beers, spirits and wine.

Down in the former bank’s vaults, resident guests and members have exclusive run of a dedicated training, treatments and therapies space, The Strong Rooms. We’ve curated experiences for holistic wellness and innovative technologies, including a cryotherapy chamber and infrared sauna. Along with state-of-the-art gym and fitness studios, we aim to enhance every individual wellness journey through movement, restoration and recovery.
